Caramel Ice Cream 3 c Granulated sugar
1 1/2 c Hot water
Recipe for vanilla ice cream
Place 1 1/2 cups sugar in a saucepan over a hot fire and stir until sugar is melted and the color of maple syrup. Add 1 1/2 cups hot water and simmer until the consistency of hot syrup. Add another 1 1/2 cups sugar and dissolve. Use this mixture in place of 3 cups of sugar in your favorite vanilla ice cream recipe.
