Dairy Queen Ice Cream

2 qts. scalded milk
4 pkgs. Knox gelatin
4 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 pt. (Burgers) cream
1 can Carnation milk
3 tbsp. vanilla

Bring milk almost to a boil. Then soften gelatin in water (2 tablespoons water for each package gelatin). Add this to hot milk. Also add the sugar and salt to hot milk. Cool. Add the cream and vanilla last and freeze.
